Timelinx Vacation Services S.A have announced today that they have started legal proceeding against Club La Costa S.L and Club La Costa Operaciones S.L for Unfair Competition after discovering a defamatory leaflet (pdf) being distributed by them to consumers.
The unprecedented action by Timelinx is requesting the court to take the following measures against Club La Costa:
Garry Peter Leigh of Timelinx Vacation Services said “I have a healthy respect for what Club La Costa have achieved in their timeshare exploits and some sympathy with their position having to compete with a product of Designer Way Vacation Clubs consumer appeal, however that is no excuse to resort to this type of underhand tactics. Although members of the timeshare industry may feel these types of marketing tactics are acceptable, I do not agree, I am very disappointed and will seek to hold them to a higher standard”
